Green gram dosa (pesarattu dosa) with garlic chutney

Green gram dosa - pesarattu dosa is also called moong dal dosa. highly nutrition.  Have to consume at least weekly once. Pesarattu dosa originally from Andhra Pradesh . It helps to reduce weight. preparation time 30 minutes. goes well with garlic chutney, tomato chutney, coconut chutney with sambar. 


INGREDIEINTS FOR PESARATTU DOSA

Green gram - 1 cup (250 gm)
Normal rice - 1/3 cup (100 gm)
Fennel seed- 1 tablespoon
Garlic  -3 to 4 nos
Red chilly - 2 to 3 nos
Tomato - small amount ( approx 25 gm)
Coriander - small amount ( approx 1/3 cup)
Coconut - 2 to 3 small pieces (optional)
Salt - as requiredc
We Can also use idly rice or raw rice.
 


Preparation

  • Soak green gram and rice for minimum 4 hour. Soak it separate.
  • After that Grind rice with red chilly, coconut, Fennel seeds, garlic in to fine paste. Transfer into the bowl.

 


  • Then In blender add green gram, tomato, coriander grind it coarsely.
  • Mix all the ingredients. Add water Make dosa batter consistency.



  • Heat a griddle, pour dosa batter in pan. cook  until to get golden texture.
  • flip it other side. add some ghee or oil.
dosa is ready serve it hot

GARLIC CHUTNEY

INGREDIENTS
Onion - 2 small (100 gm)
Garlic - 1 pod
tamarind - small piece
Red chilly -  4 to 5 nos (Adjust your spice)
Sesame oil - 2 table spoon


METHOD
Heat  oil in the pan, Add  Onion, garlic, red chilly, tamarind, saute for 7 to 10 minute in mid flame. do not burn it.
Grind all the ingredients. transfer chutney into the bowl.




For temper
Heat oil,  add mustard seed, urad dal, curry leaves. let it for sizzle. pour  into the chutney.  mix it.

 

Serve the  chutney with all kind of dosa and idly.

Moong dal dosa

Moong dal dosa Ingredients: Moong dal: 1 cup Red chilli: 2 Garlic: 1 clove Fennel seed: 1 teaspoon Tomato: small piece Salt: as required Oil: as needed Preparation Soak the moong dal in water for two hours. Grind the batter. Drain the water and grind the dal with garlic, red chili, fennel seeds, tomato, and salt. Add water to achieve a smooth batter. The consistency should be neither too thick nor too thin. Fermentation is not required. Allow it to rest for 15 minutes. Prepare the dosa. Heat a cast iron or any dosa pan, add a few drops of oil, and rub the pan with an onion slice or tissue paper. Pour a ladle of batter and spread it in a circular motion to form a thin dosa. (Dosa tawa should be medium heat). Drizzle a few drops of oil or ghee. Cook until the top is golden and crisp. If desired, add toppings such as onion, coriander leaves, and curry leaves.
