Mutton kola urundai | Meat balls

Mutton kola urundai / Meatballs is one of the famous dishes in South India, especially in Madurai circle. It is a super delicious appetizer.  As it is made of minced meat and  different flavored spices, it serves as a fusion of nutrition.  This can also be a good start of the day especially for children. Having 4 to 5 balls is enough to skip any meals .You can also serve this as an evening snack rather than opting for any junks.  children do love this .All you need is boneless mutton. We can also use ready made minced meat. 


INGREDIENTS

250 Gram of minced meat
10 shallot
1/2 teaspoon Ginger garlic paste 
1 teaspoon of Coriander leaf
1teaspoon of Curd.
1 teaspoon of Coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon of Cumin powder 
1/2  teaspoon of  Chilly powder
1/4 teaspoon of Turmeric powder
1/4 teaspoon of Garam masala OR Biryani masala'
oil to fry
salt to taste

FOR GRINDING

Roasted gram (Pottu Kadalai) 2 tablespoon, grind it to a powder.

Briyani masala

Take an equal potion of cinnamon, cardamom, cloves make a powder take 1/2 teaspoon (or) 1/2 inch of cinnamon, 1 cardamom, 2 cloves blend with masala.

Masala paste 

10pearl onions, 1/2 inch ginger,2 pulse cloves and fennel seeds, make them to a paste.

Instructions

STEP-1   In a pressure cooker. add minced meat, turmeric, salt, let it to whistle 3 times. Let the excess water evaporate. (or) if we want we can also cook in kadai.
STEP-2   Blend the minced meat in pulse mode. Then transfer it into the bowl.
STEP-3  To make a masala, take 10 pearl onions, ginger and garlic, then make a paste. Convert it into   the same bowl.
STEP-4  Then add all masala, Coriander powder, Cumin powder, Chilli powder, Biriyani powder, salt chopped  Coriander leaf, finally roasted gram powder. mix it well.
STEP- 5  Apply a little oil to hand, Make it into small balls.
STEP- 6  Refrigerate the meet ball for 30 minutes before frying.
STEP -7  Heat the oil in medium flame, once the oil attains the optimum heat. Add the balls one by one.  do not put them altogether at a time. fry the balls until it turns golden brown.

Serve it hot

  Yellow rice made with turmeric powder and saffron goes well with chicken curry.
