Dapan ji recipe

Dapan ji, also known as " Big plate chicken," is a popular dish from Xinjiang. China. known for its bold flavors and spicy taste. Here's a recipe to make authentic dapan ji at home.  Ingredients

Chicken 1 kg

Potato - 1 large

Tomato - 1.5 

Onion - 1 medium sized

Capsicum - 1 

Garlic - 45 gram

Ginger - 30 gram

Vegetable oil - 1/4 cup


Spices needed


Dried red chilies - 7 gram 7 to 8

Soy sauce - 2 tablespoon

Sugar - 1 tablespoon

Pepper - 3 gram

Tomato paste -3 tablespoon.

Star anise - 5 gram

Cinnamon- 4 gram

Bay leaves - 1



Instruction


Marinate the chicken with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, half teaspoon of pepper, and salt,


Step 1 - In heavy wok, Heat a 1/2 cup of vegetable oil. Add sugar on medium flame. sauté continuously until it turns golden.


Step 2 - Add marinated chicken, diced ginger, onion, sauté it for 2 minutes.


Step 3- Add dry chilies' sauté it for 2 minutes.


Step 4- Add Spices star anise. pepper. bay leaf, cinnamon. sauté it for 2 minutes.


Step 5- add tomatoes, tomato paste, soy sauce, pepper sauce(optional) and salt stir it. well.


Step 6 - Add half of the chopped garlic and potatoes sauté for 2 minutes.


Step 7 - Add 500 ml of water, Boil for 20 minutes. Once potatoes get softened.


Step 8 - Add remaining garlic and capsicum leaves for 1 minute. ready to serve.


Step 9 - serve with flatten noodle, (belt noodle), paratha, and pasta.

Moong dal dosa Ingredients: Moong dal: 1 cup Red chilli: 2 Garlic: 1 clove Fennel seed: 1 teaspoon Tomato: small piece Salt: as required Oil: as needed Preparation Soak the moong dal in water for two hours.
