Crab masala / chettinadu crab masala


Crab masala / Chettinadu crab masala, one of the delicious and healthiest recipes.

Crab curry and pepper combo helps to clear the throat infection cold, good digestion, Crab is high in protein rich in omega 3 fatty acids.


 Ingredients

Blue crab - 4 to 5

Pearl onion - 7 to 8

Tomato - 1 medium sized

Shredded coconut 1/4 cup

Pepper - 1 tablespoon

Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon

Fennel seeds - 1 teaspoon

Garlic - 5 pulse.

Green chilli - 2

Curry leaves- 10 to 15

Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup.

Oil - 4 to 5 tablespoon

Salt to taste

Preparation

STEP 1; Clean the crabs thoroughly, apply turmeric powder on the crab, set aside.

To make ground paste

STEP 2; Take 1 tablespoon of oil in the large Kadai.

Add some fennel seeds, cumin seeds, pepper, let it sizzle.

Add pearl onion and curry leaves and let onion until it turn glass stage.

Step 3; Add tomato, Garlic pulse, Coriander leaves, green chilli, and coconut. salt.

Let it cook for 4 to 5 minutes on medium flame. let it cool. Blend it into paste.

Making Crab masala

Step 4; Take 3 tablespoons of oil in the same kadai.

Add 1/2 teaspoon of fennel seeds and a few curry leaves.

Then add crabs and roast it until the color changes.

Cook for 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 5; Add masala paste on the crab, mix it well.

Check some salt, add 1/2 teaspoon of chilli powder

1 teaspoon of coriander powder, mix it, add required amount of water, Cook for 20 minutes.

until oil oozes.

Serve it with rice.

Tips 

We can make Crab omelet and Crab omelet dosa with leftover crab masala, or crab curry.

Mutton minced dosa / Madurai Kari dosai

   Kari dosa or  mutton keema dosa, Madurai kari dosai is famous in Madurai, a city in the state of Tamil Nadu. Made with mutton keema and mixed spices. We can also make semi mutton gravy and use it as topping which will gives more flavor for the dosai. Kari dosa is served with coconut chutney.  Ingredients for kari dosai Mutton boneless - 200 gram Ginger garlic paste 1 teaspoon. Onion - 1 no's medium sized Tomato - 1 medium sized. Red chilli powder - ½ teaspoon  Coriander Powder ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder - ¼ teaspoon Garam masala - ½ teaspoon Salt Oil - 2 tablespoon. Curry leaves - 1 bunch. Red chillies - 2 Preparation In the cooker, add red Chilli, Cumin seeds, Curry leaves let it sizzle. Add onion, sauté it, until it becomes translucent. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté it until raw smell comes out. Add finely chopped tomato and sauté for 2 minutes.  Add all masala one by one and mutton pieces. Mix it well.
