paal bun/ milk bun/ jeera bun recipe

 Paal bun - milk bun  is famous in Dindugul. Easy and delicious sweet recipe. It is almost like donut.

Ingredients

Maida/ all purpose flour - 1 cup

Thick curd - 1/3 cup

Baking soda - 1/4 teaspoon

Cardamon - 2

Sugar - 2 Tablespoon

Ghee - 1 teaspoon

Oil for deep fry

For sugar syrup

Sugar - 3/4 cup

Water - 1/2 cup

Method

Blend sugar and cardamon into powder.

 Tranfer into a bowl, in the same bowl, add maida, curd, ghee and baking soda mix it together, without lumps. Beat the batter for 5 to 6 minutes.

The batter has to be in sticky consistency. like urad dal vada batter. Apply oil on top, cover let it rest for 1 hour.

For syrup

In a pan, Add sugar and water dissolve it. Then  heat the pan Leave for 5 minutes in medium flame.


Heat oil in medium to low flame. Wet the hand in water, then take small portion of batter, drop it into hot oil. fry until it turns into golden brown texture.


Once fried take it out from the oil. Drop the balls into the sugar syrup. Soak it for 5 minutes. Then remove from the syrup.

Paal bun is ready

Mutton minced dosa / Madurai Kari dosai

   Kari dosa or  mutton keema dosa, Madurai kari dosai is famous in Madurai, a city in the state of Tamil Nadu. Made with mutton keema and mixed spices. We can also make semi mutton gravy and use it as topping which will gives more flavor for the dosai. Kari dosa is served with coconut chutney.  Ingredients for kari dosai Mutton boneless - 200 gram Ginger garlic paste 1 teaspoon. Onion - 1 no's medium sized Tomato - 1 medium sized. Red chilli powder - ½ teaspoon  Coriander Powder ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder - ¼ teaspoon Garam masala - ½ teaspoon Salt Oil - 2 tablespoon. Curry leaves - 1 bunch. Red chillies - 2 Preparation In the cooker, add red Chilli, Cumin seeds, Curry leaves let it sizzle. Add onion, sauté it, until it becomes translucent.
